Since you can Hew things for almost as much damage as most classes’ basic attacks it’s almost tempting to skip Chop and just Hew 24/7, but if you’re relying on the Leper to carry your offense that can bite you in the ass when you run into giant enemies and Hew’s damage just isn’t good enough. It’s the hardest-hitting AOE in the game, so at least the accuracy penalty makes sense here. It’s a basic attack, but the accuracy penalty REALLY hurts considering that classes with just slightly less base damage get normal accuracy modifiers. He’s got a pretty good slate of skills but they’re all really limited in role.Ĭhop: Borderline to solid. Come to mention it they also have a distinct lack of support options: all of their support skills exist to enhance their frontline damage-dealer role. They also suffer from a distinct lack of offensive options-literally every Leper build is going to have the same 2 attacks and 2 support abilities of their choice. The Leper’s got a pretty good skill loadout but still has a few duds. Standalone juggernaut vs front line support. The Leper has always had a bit of an identity crisis due to massive overlap with the Crusader, but the last few patches have really helped distinguish the two. I enjoy critical analysis, so I figured I'd go ahead and do another one if these for a class that has seen a lot of tweaks. ![]()
